The Tigers were the team to beat the last two years with back-to-back regular season conference titles and consecutive first-round wins in the NCAA Tournament. But they lost seven seniors from last year's club. They'll rely on seven new recruits, role players and the lone returning starter, forward Christian Maraker (13.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg). David Doubley and Guillaume Yango are gone, but coach Bob Thomason stayed. And two of the Tigers' newcomers played on teams with perfect records last season. Guard Joe Ford helped Campbell Hall (Calif.) High to a 32-0 record and the Division 4 Championship, and forward Anthony Esparza was a member of Fresno City College's undefeated team that won the state junior college title with a 34-0 record.
