The Anteaters suffered perhaps their biggest setback in May when senior guard Jeff Gloger, die schools career steals leader, tore the ACL in his right knee in a workout. And his surgery was delayed until late summer due to an illness. Guards Ross Schraeder (12.9 ppg) and Aaron Fitzgerald (12.7 ppg) return for dieir senior seasons and should form one of the league's better backcourts. The Anteaters should get a boost from newcomers Adam Templeton, a 6'5" swingman from South Dakota, and Mark Kel-ley, a 6'9" forward who transferred to UCI from Citrus College in Glendora, Calif. Kelley also had offers from Pacific, Rice and Drake.
